Most buffer tanks will utilize a Hudson shut-off valve, however, if this fails it can cause your tank to overfill which will in turn cause other issues. The tank vent kit is a full 3/4 overflow system with a built in check valve to eliminate bugs, spiders, etc. from finding their way in your water tank.
