The SKUNK TEAM was tasked with creating the final solution for the soft-wash industry, and after 18 months of R&D in their lair, they emerged with a truly state of the art total wash system!
When we looked at the industry trends over the last decade one thing stood clear as a common theme. The professional wash tech was always sacrificing something no matter what pump setup he chose.
The venerable 12v system has a lot of good going for it, (which is why its always been our favorite) Affordable, easy to replace, and low maintenance costs were all a winning recipe. But the performance of a 12v soft wash system does leave a lot be desired.
Some guys turn to 110v booster pumps in a quest for more flow and power. That is until they factor in the higher initial cost, plus a generator to run it, endless maintenance and a graveyard of them out behind their shed. When a booster pump goes down you just lost that day of run time. And the performance isn't really blowing anyway..... The juice is definitely not worth the squeeze.
Air diaphragm pumps gained some popularity in the early 2000s'. These really shine in the maintenance department, but nothing is trouble free, and don't forget you've got to have an air compressor to run it. Even then your power level isn't really mind-blowing anyway.
About 3 years ago gas powered systems aka "roof pumps" became all the rage. Its no secret that our hatred for gas powered setups knows no bounds. Expensive, heavy on maintenance, and catastrophic failures, and throwing so much chem the EPA has a mini-stroke, these are the absolute worst of all options.
We get it, we've all got a little Tim the Tool Man Taylor down inside somewhere. But what if we could get high performance, low maintenance and moderate cost all in one pump? The HOLY GRAIL of systems.

Frequently Asked Questions
What size wiring is needed for the Super Pump?
Use a minimum of 10-gauge wire for all wiring. Some operators choose to use 8-gauge (which is larger), but that’s optional. Wire that is too small can create excessive heat and lead to performance issues or premature equipment failure.
What size discharge hose is needed for the Super Pump?
We recommend using a 3/4" hose on the discharge side. Some operators have used 5/8" hose, but that is at your own risk. The pump requires adequate flow through the hose to perform properly and prevent unnecessary strain on the system.
How far does the Super Pump shoot?
Every Super Pump is fully tested before it leaves our facility, and we are consistently achieving 70+ feet of distance with each unit. If you’re not getting that performance, there is likely an issue with your plumbing setup, wiring, or the gun and tips being used.
Do I have to charge my batteries every night?
This should go without saying, but yes — absolutely. Any time you use the pump, the batteries must be connected to the charger at the end of the day. One of the main causes of pump failure is running it on batteries that were drained the previous day. Low batteries cause excessive amp draw and heat buildup, which will quickly and prematurely burn out the pump if it continues.
How long will the Super Pump last?
That’s a great question — and it really depends on you.
We designed the Super Pump to be easily rebuildable in the field if needed — just install a head kit. If you’re running the pump hard but maintaining it properly, you can expect to go through about 2–3 head kits per year, and installation takes roughly 20 minutes.
They’re not one-offs — every unit is built to the same exact specifications and tolerances. There are no “lemons” because each pump is fully assembled, tested, and run before it leaves our facility. We have yet to see a motor failure from someone operating their pump correctly. That said, some operators go over a year without replacing a head kit, while others seem to install them frequently. One thing we know for sure — it comes down to the user. These pumps are precision-built, and proper setup, maintenance, and operation are what determine how long they last.
Why do I have to winterize?
Water freezes at 32°F, so if your temperatures are at or below that, your pump needs to be winterized.
Any water left inside the system can freeze, expand, and cause serious internal damage. Don’t risk cracked components or costly repairs — winterize before temperatures reach freezing.
Some operators choose to disconnect the pump and store it indoors during freezing weather. This is a good alternative to winterizing on the truck, as keeping the unit in a climate-controlled space helps prevent freeze damage.
Is the Super Pump rebuildable?
Yes — the Super Pump is fully rebuildable.
It was specifically designed to be serviced in the field, with head kits that can be installed in about 20 minutes. With proper maintenance, most operators go through 2–3 head kits per year, making it a cost-effective and long-term solution rather than a disposable pump.
What does a 16 gallon per minute open flow mean?
In the context of the Super Pump, the 16 gallons per minute (GPM) open flow rating refers to the amount of liquid the pump can move at zero PSI (no resistance), which is the standard way pumps are measured. This flow is produced by combining about 8 GPM from each side of the pump into one discharge line. While the pump delivers 16 GPM with no pressure, it typically operates around 150–175 PSI for normal softwashing. To safely maintain this high flow rate, the system must use 3/4-inch discharge plumbing, including the hose reel and hose, which allows the pump to reach structures four to five stories high when properly set up.
