1500$ RUST REMOVAL JOB

...

Hey, what's up, guys? Coty here with Southeast Softwash. Today is February 24th, and we’re out in Roanoke at a massive steel fabrication facility called Steel Bath. This place is huge—they fabricate I-beams and steel structures for skyscrapers, and they’ve got a problem: a big, rusty wall that’s been catching all the rust from their blasting process.

The rust on this wall is no joke. It’s thick and severe, and while they managed to clean the bottom four feet with a pressure washer and some serious elbow grease, they couldn't reach the higher areas. That’s where we come in with our Rust Remedy Shippable Hazmat Stain Remover. We’re going to see if it can tackle this beast of a job.

As we walk you through this project, you’ll notice that this isn't a simple rinse-and-go situation. The rust is stubborn, and a previous company tried using SH (sodium hypochlorite) to clean it—an approach that, as we know, doesn't work on non-organic stains like rust.

With Rust Remedy, though, the results were immediate. After just a few minutes of letting the product dwell on the surface, you could see the rust start to run right off. This isn't just rusty dust that can be rinsed off with a garden hose. The chemical is doing the heavy lifting here, breaking the rust bond and allowing us to rinse it away easily.

For this job, we switched over to our 24-volt pump to get the height and coverage we needed. Normally, we’d use a pump-up sprayer, but the scale of this project called for something bigger. By removing our surfactant drop line and inserting it directly into our Rust Remedy jug, we were able to apply the product evenly across the wall.

A few hours and several applications later, the wall looked a thousand times better. There were still a few areas that needed touch-ups, but the overall transformation was incredible. The plant manager was thrilled, and we left with another high-ticket job under our belt.

The key takeaway here? Knowing the right product and technique for the job is crucial. Using the wrong chemical can not only waste time but also leave money on the table. Proper training and product knowledge are what set you apart in this business.
