Driveway Cleaning Walkthrough | Pressure Washing [Drone]
Welcome back to the Lean and Mean Academy! Today, we’re diving into one of the most essential tasks in exterior cleaning—driveway cleaning. Whether you’re new to pressure washing or a seasoned pro, mastering the pre-treat and post-treat process is key to getting professional results every time.
Why Pre-Treat and Post-Treat?
Pre-treating helps kill and loosen dirt, mold, and stains before you begin pressure washing, making it easier to clean. Post-treating ensures that any lingering grime or organic growth is dealt with, leaving your driveway spotless and bright.
In today’s job, we’re cleaning my neighbor’s driveway—check out Mad Max parked across the street! As you’ll see in the video, I’ve already pre-treated the driveway, allowing the solution to work its magic.
Surface Cleaner & Pressure Regulation
When cleaning driveways, especially new concrete, pressure control is critical. I like to keep my machine at medium idle to prevent etching the surface. If you’re using a surface cleaner, make sure your tips are right for the job and you regulate your idle speed—too much pressure, and you could damage the concrete.
For sloped driveways, always work with the grade, letting the natural drainage help with your cleanup. We’ll move from the top of the driveway near the garage and work our way down toward the street.
Drone View of the Process
Check out our drone footage for a bird’s-eye view of the process. You can see how we move systematically, taking care of every inch of the driveway. From tackling algae buildup in the shaded areas to working around bushes and landscape features, attention to detail is key to a successful job.
