How To Remove Efflorescence & Calcite From Brick and Block

...

What’s up, guys? Welcome back to the Lean And Mean Academy! In today’s video, we’re diving into a real-world demo of Efflo-Go, a new efflorescence removal chemical from Cody Yarborough over at Southeast Softwash. Efflo-Go is specifically designed to tackle tough efflorescence and calcite deposits on surfaces like brick and mortar.

Understanding Efflorescence vs. Calcite

Before we dive into the cleaning, let’s clarify the difference between efflorescence and calcite:

  • Efflorescence appears as a white, chalky haze on brick and mortar. It dissolves when wet but reappears after drying, making it a frustrating issue for homeowners and contractors alike.
  • Calcite, on the other hand, is more stubborn and hard, often requiring a more aggressive chemical treatment to remove it completely.

Watch Efflo-Go in Action

We’re putting Efflo-Go to the test on some hardy deposits. When applied, the chemical starts boiling on contact, which is a good sign! This means it’s working to break down the calcium and salt deposits. After a second coat, we let the chemical do its magic without rinsing right away, ensuring deep penetration into the tough spots.

Does Efflo-Go Deliver?

After a thorough application and rinse, the results speak for themselves. Efflo-Go successfully removes both efflorescence and calcite, leaving the surface looking clean and free of those pesky deposits.

If you're dealing with stubborn efflorescence or calcite on your property, Efflo-Go is a great option to get the job done!
