My Secret Weapon On Commercial Cleanings

...

Welcome back to the Lean and Mean Academy, where we focus on achieving big profits with just one truck. Today, we're diving into a hands-on project: cleaning a shop with algae-covered walls and oil-stained concrete. Follow along to learn some expert tips and discover the tools and courses that can help you elevate your cleaning business.

Step-by-Step Shop Cleaning

1. Removing Algae from the Shop Walls

Our first task is tackling the algae on the shop's exterior. Metal surfaces often clean up easily, especially with light algae. Here’s how we do it:

  • Preparation: Ensure you have the right cleaning solutions and equipment ready.
  • Application: Apply the cleaning solution evenly across the affected areas.
  • Rinse: Thoroughly rinse off the solution to reveal a clean, algae-free surface.

2. Treating Oil Stains on Concrete

Next, we move on to the oil spots on the shop’s concrete. These are deep-set and have accumulated over time due to high traffic. We use Coty Yarbrough’s Dynamite Degreaser, a potent solution designed to tackle tough stains.

  • Application: Apply the degreaser directly to the oil spots.
  • Agitation: Use a brush to agitate the solution into the stains, ensuring it penetrates deeply.
  • Rest: Let the solution sit for a while to break down the oil.
  • Rinse: Wash away the degreaser and oil residue, revealing a cleaner surface.

Pro Tip: Always manage client expectations regarding oil stains. Complete removal is often impossible, but significant fading can greatly improve the appearance.

3. Finishing Up

After addressing the algae and oil stains, we rinse and clean the remaining areas:

  • Exterior Cleaning: Finish cleaning the remaining parts of the building.
  • Final Rinse: Ensure all cleaning solutions are thoroughly rinsed off.
