Secret Marketing Strategy That Makes Big Companies Millions - The Halo Effect
What’s up, guys! Cody here from Southeast Softwash, checking in before another jam-packed week of equipment builds. Tomorrow, we’re hitting the ground running, so I wanted to give you all an update on what’s happening behind the scenes. I actually just wrapped up a skid build myself—it was almost done when we left on Friday, but I put the finishing touches on it today.
Tomorrow morning, I’ll be jumping into another one bright and early, making sure we stay on track with our aggressive build schedule.
Keeping the Builds Rolling: Big Weeks & Big Numbers
The last few weeks have been non-stop in the shop. We’re cranking out builds at a steady pace, and just last week alone, we knocked out nine units! On Friday, we had four guys in for training and sent out a trailer (though I didn’t get footage of that pickup).
A special shoutout to Dave, one of our customers who unfortunately had a bad accident—he totaled his truck and skid. But thanks to insurance, he reinvested in a brand-new trailer setup and is back in business. Dave, if you’re reading this, I appreciate your support and hope the new rig is serving you well!
Production Lineup: Gearing Up for a Huge Week
Looking ahead, we have a packed production schedule. Right now, we’ve got multiple Mini Skids, three AlumiMax Pro Softwash & Pressure Washing Skids, and another one being added this week. That brings us to a total of three more AlumiMax units before the weekend.
By Friday, we expect to have two more trailers ready, one of which will include a hot water unit—all the components are coming together now. By my count, we’ll have 18 or 19 units in the shop by the end of the week, ready for pickup.
And next Friday? That’s another big pickup day, with even more rigs rolling out. Plus, we’re starting on two brand-new AlumiMax skids, each equipped with 5.5 GPM pumps and optimized for high-performance results.
We’re moving fast, but thanks to a fresh shipment of parts arriving, we’re keeping everything on schedule and ensuring orders go out on time.
The Power of Branding & The Halo Effect in Business
Now, let’s talk marketing. Many companies—especially big brands—use a psychological principle called the Halo Effect to influence buying decisions. It’s a cognitive bias where one strong trait or attribute creates a powerful perception of overall quality.
For example, in softwash and pressure washing, strong branding and customer perception can be game-changers for your business. If people see your brand everywhere, they assume you’re the best—even before they’ve hired you!
5 Ways to Use the Halo Effect in Your Softwash Business:
-
Celebrity & Influencer Endorsements – You may not land Kim Kardashian, but why not connect with local influencers? Think real estate pros, business owners, or even the mayor! If they trust you, others will too.
-
Branding That Stands Out – A clean, professional logo, uniforms, and truck wrap can make you look like the authority in your market. The more people see your name, the more they trust it.
-
Emotional Marketing – Tell stories of how you’ve helped customers. Show before-and-after results. Build a brand that people feel connected to.
-
Product & Service Design – Make sure your rigs and setups look top-tier. Clean, modern, and organized equipment sends a message that you run a professional operation.
-
Customer Service Excellence – The better your service, the stronger your reputation. Happy customers spread the word, which amplifies your brand’s credibility and pricing power.
Big brands like Coca-Cola have used this marketing principle for decades, crafting a reputation that sells itself. Your softwash business can do the same.
