What types of jobs can you do with a SESW system?
Welcome to another behind-the-scenes look at pressure washing in action! Today, Jonathan and I are hitting the road in our classic ‘63 Ford F-100 Custom Cab to showcase the incredible cleaning power of our different pressure washing platforms. Whether you're a seasoned pro or new to the industry, we'll give you a rundown of what each system can do for your business, as well as a few tips on pricing jobs and getting the best results.
Our Equipment Lineup
We offer three primary pressure washing platforms:
- Mini Skid - Compact, powerful, and perfect for smaller jobs. It can come with or without a pressure washer.
- AlumiMax Pro - Our flagship model, featuring two soft wash systems and a 5.5 GPM pressure washer. This is my personal favorite because it’s versatile and compact, fitting right on the back of a truck.
- Tandem Trailer - Great for larger projects. It can handle anything, but pulling a trailer isn't my favorite, so I lean toward the AlumiMax.
Each system has its own strengths, and the one you choose depends on your budget, job size, and preference.
A Day on the Job: Residential Cleaning
Today, we're cleaning a beautiful stucco house, brick walkway, and driveway for $1,600. Here’s how it breaks down:
- House Wash ($750): Soft-washing the house to remove grime.
- Wall Clean ($450): We’re only doing the exterior of the wall surrounding the pool, which will take about an hour.
- Brick Walkway ($250): Pressure washing with care to avoid damage to the mortar.
- Driveway ($200): Soft wash to freshen up some previous pressure-washing work.
This setup is a perfect example of how our equipment can handle everything from walls to driveways in record time. The AlumiMax Pro makes quick work of the job, saving us time and effort.
The Importance of Versatility
We also revisited a $9,000 job we completed in just one day—a county water tower! Believe it or not, we tackled this with a 12-volt system. While many people are chasing the latest "miracle pumps," we stick to what works. You don’t need the most expensive gear to handle big commercial projects, just reliable equipment and a good technique.
Residential Jobs: Fast and Easy Money
Residential cleaning jobs like the one we did for our fab shop partners are bread and butter for many pressure washing businesses. A standard three-bedroom, two-bath house with some vinyl stains took us under an hour to clean. For a job like this, we charged about $500—easy money when you’re working efficiently with the right equipment.
Choosing the Right System for You
Whether you're using a Mini Skid, AlumiMax Pro, or a Tandem Trailer, you can handle any job that comes your way. While the Mini Skid might take a little longer on larger projects, it's more affordable, making it perfect for beginners. As you grow, systems like the AlumiMax Pro will increase your efficiency.
Final Thoughts: Equipment is Just One Piece of the Puzzle
Having the right equipment is essential, but it's only one part of a successful business. You also need solid marketing and the ability to get clients. Don't overspend on equipment if you don’t have the customers to back it up.
