The Ultimate Solution for Red Clay Stains

...

Hey Everyone!

Welcome back to Southeast Softwash. Today is March 15th, and we’re out in the field working on a new job. We just finished a quick house wash in under an hour, but now we’re tackling a common issue—red clay stains on the driveway and house.

The Importance of Upselling Services

Before diving into the details, let’s talk about upselling. At Southeast Softwash, we offer packages rather than doing extra services for free. This approach not only adds value for the customer but also increases your business’s revenue. Today’s client opted for a basic house wash, but we recommended an upgrade to tackle the red clay stains.

Meet the Client

This job is special because the house belongs to a former co-worker who created our safety manual, available on our website. If you’re growing your business and hiring people, having solid policies and procedures is crucial. Check out the safety manual link below—it might be just what you need.

Tackling Red Clay Stains with Mud May-day

Now, let’s get to the main event. Red clay stains can be a nightmare, especially here in Alabama and Georgia. That’s why we use our specialized product, Mud Mayday. It’s designed to effectively remove these stubborn stains.

The Process

Step 1: Inspection and Demo

We started by inspecting the stained area near the door. After spraying a small section with Mud May-day, we realized it would make a great demo. The untreated areas remained stained even after pressure washing, proving that Mud Mayday is essential for this job.

Step 2: Application

Using our five-gallon-a-minute machine, we applied Mud May-day full strength due to the severity of the stains. Normally, you can dilute it 50/50, but today we went all in.

Step 3: Dwell Time

We let the product sit for about 10-15 minutes. This dwell time is crucial for the chemical to break down the stains.

Step 4: Pressure Washing

After allowing Mud May-day to work its magic, we pressure washed the area. Check out the before and after shots—it’s amazing! For a more uniform clean, we usually use a surface cleaner, but for the video, we used a wand to highlight the product’s effectiveness.

Why Mud Mayday Works

Concrete is porous, making it challenging to clean. Mud Mayday penetrates these pores, breaking down the red clay for easy removal. It’s perfect for post-construction cleanup or any job with red clay stains.
